PDP 2026 Commencement & Graduation Ceremony

HPN’s Professional Discipleship Program celebrated the Class of 2026 with an evening of commencement and graduation at the elegant Kimpton Everly Hotel in Hollywood. Mentees, mentors, special guests, and Christian professionals from across the entertainment industry gathered to mark the culmination of a ten-month journey of spiritual growth, vocational development, and renewed commitment to pursuing God’s calling with excellence. The evening began with food, beverages, and fellowship over small bites, giving guests an opportunity to reconnect and celebrate together before the formal program.

The ceremony opened with a welcome from PDP Director Jean Liu Christen and HPN Founding Director Karen Covell, followed by worship led by Mure Kalu and an opening prayer from Jessica Oyelowo. Jean then reflected on the growth and impact of the Professional Discipleship Program, recognizing the mentors, speakers, workshop leaders, and HPN team members who had invested in nearly 600 industry professionals throughout the last two years. The evening also highlighted several exciting milestones for the program, including the launch of its first-ever Pitch Lab and Table Read, as well as the growing PDP Alumni Association.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Distinguished Mentor Award to Bill Ewing, honoring his investment in the next generation of Christian entertainment professionals. The program also included award presentations, a commencement address from Patrick Rieger, and the distribution of graduation certificates to the Class of 2026 by PDP and HPN leadership. The ceremony concluded with prayer and commissioning led by Darla Lansu Campbell and Karen Covell, sending graduates forward with encouragement to carry their faith, gifts, and calling into every corner of the entertainment industry.

Following the program, guests enjoyed additional time together for conversation, connection, and celebration. It was a fitting close to a remarkable year and an opportunity to honor not only the accomplishments of the graduating class, but the broader community of mentors and professionals committed to bringing the love of Christ into Hollywood and beyond.
