Montage Film Editor's Group - 2025 Meetings

Montage members met in November for a time of fellowship, reflection, and prayer. The afternoon featured lively conversation, updates from current projects, and encouragement from fellow editors navigating similar professional and spiritual journeys. The gathering ended with a meaningful time of prayer together.

October's gathering provided an opportunity for editors to strengthen relationships and deepen community. Along with sharing updates from work and life, participants engaged in thoughtful discussion about the craft of editing and the unique role they play in storytelling. The group concluded by praying for one another and the industry they serve.

The Montage editors group met on September 28th for another evening of prayer, connection, and professional growth. Led by Nicole Baer and Stephen Erkel, the meeting provided a space for Christian film editors to share experiences, discuss current projects, and support one another in both faith and craft.

Each gathering offers a mix of encouragement, conversation, and insight from leaders and peers who understand the challenges of working in post-production.

The August meeting continued Montage's commitment to cultivating both creative excellence and spiritual community. Following a shared meal, members discussed their current work, exchanged professional insights, and encouraged one another in their faith journeys. The afternoon concluded with prayer and meaningful connection.

July's Montage meeting brought together editors from across film and television for a time of fellowship and spiritual encouragement. Attendees shared stories from recent projects, discussed industry experiences, and offered support to one another as they navigated the unique challenges of their profession. Prayer remained at the center of the gathering.

On June 1st, Montage editor’s group had our monthly meeting at Nicole Baer’s house. They had 11 attendees, and they shared their usual lunch prepared by Mark and Nicole, during which there was always a lot of great conversation.

Then, all moved into the living room and had a ‘sharpening our professional skills’ session of looking at videos and discussing how classic film scenes were put together from an editor’s point of view.

Then each shared what’s been going on in our lives in the past month, spiritually, personally, and professionally. We ended with prayer requests and an open prayer time.

At their May gathering, Montage editors enjoyed a relaxed afternoon of food, friendship, and thoughtful conversation. Members shared about recent projects, life developments, and ways they had seen God at work throughout the month. The group closed in prayer, lifting up both personal needs and professional opportunities.
