Stagelight Actors Fellowship - 2025 Gatherings

Our StageLight community of Christian actors came together once again for an inspiring evening of fellowship, encouragement, and industry insight. Led by Joel McCrary, the October gathering created a welcoming space for both seasoned professionals and emerging talent to connect and grow in their faith and craft.

Throughout the night, actors shared stories, exchanged wisdom, and explored what it means to pursue excellence and integrity while working in Hollywood. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, and genuine connection—complete with light snacks and plenty of vision for the future.

As always, the heart of StageLight shone brightly: to equip and empower Christian actors to impact the entertainment industry from the inside out, carrying truth and light into every role and opportunity.

The Stagelight Actors Fellowship relaunched this month with an inspiring evening for Christian actors of all levels. Led by industry veteran Joel McCrary, the gathering offered a space to connect, grow, and explore how faith and craft intersect in the entertainment industry.

Attendees spent the night building relationships, sharing experiences, and reflecting on how God calls them to impact Hollywood with excellence and truth. Light snacks and beverages were provided, creating a welcoming environment for fellowship alongside vision-casting for the season ahead.

The relaunch marked the start of what promises to be an ongoing monthly gathering where actors can strengthen their craft, support one another, and deepen their faith while navigating the industry.

The Stagelight community gathered in June for another creative and collaborative evening as part of our Table Reading Series. Attendees enjoyed a lively night of food, fellowship, and storytelling as we read through a new family-friendly comedy feature currently in development.

The evening began with a potluck dinner — a repeat favorite from previous gatherings — where everyone shared dishes and connected before the table read began. Roles were cast on the spot, giving attendees a chance to step into character and bring the script to life in real time.

After the reading, the group closed the night with a time of intercessory prayer, lifting up one another and the creative projects represented in the room.

It was an engaging and uplifting night that blended creativity, community, and prayer.

On Friday, May 30th, Stagelight gathered at Firepoint Church—also known as the Sunset Screening Room—for an inspiring evening of connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth. From 7:30 to 9:30pm, members came together not only to share food, but to share their hearts, grounded in the wisdom of Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

The evening began with a relaxed time of mingling and potluck delights. Attendees brought their favorite dishes and desserts, creating a warm, communal atmosphere while beverages were generously provided.

At 8:00pm, the group entered a time of praise and worship, lifting their voices together before diving into a thoughtful Bible study led by Marcus. The teaching provided spiritual depth and set the tone for the night’s central focus: accountability.

From 8:45 to 9:00pm, attendees participated in an exercise designed to foster honest reflection and mutual support. Everyone was encouraged to share an area where they felt challenged—whether it was carving out daily time with the Lord or working on a creative goal like memorizing a monologue. Accountability partners were prayerfully selected, creating new opportunities for growth and encouragement in the weeks to come.
