In Hollywood, we serve entertainment professionals through community groups, worship, networking, mentorship, and of course, prayer! Around the world, we have a community of faithful intercessors, who lead our local chapters, pray for entertainment professionals in 1-on-1 partnerships, and gather regularly via Zoom for prayer and worship.

OUR VISION
The Hollywood Prayer Network exists to identify, connect, and encourage Christians working in Hollywood and throughout the entertainment industry. Through prayer, community, and spiritual support, we empower them to reflect the love of Jesus Christ in both their personal lives and creative work.
We mobilize Christians around the world to pray for individuals in the industry—ensuring that every believer in entertainment is supported in prayer. We also coordinate intercession for the broader entertainment community and the content being created, with the hope that all who influence culture through media would come to know their value as children of God and seek a deeper relationship with Him.

We envision a global movement of Christians united in heartfelt, hope-filled prayer for the people shaping our culture through entertainment. Our desire is to see the Body of Christ in Hollywood grow in strength, unity, and spiritual depth—creatives who live out their faith authentically and reflect the love of Jesus in all they do.
We long for a day when the stories told through media carry greater truth, light, and beauty—because the people behind them are walking closely with God. Through our relationships, our prayers, and the work we create, we hope to see lives transformed and hearts drawn toward Him, one project and one person at a time.

Our History
In July of 2001, TV producer Karen Covell founded the Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN) with the support of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. She believes that Hollywood is not “Sodom and Gomorrah” but “Nineveh” – it is a redeemable place, full of redeemable people.
Over the years, HPN has seen attempts to “change” Hollywood fail because Christians outside of Hollywood want the content of films, TV shows and music to change, without praying for the hearts of the people creating it to change.
We know that the content won’t change until lives are changed. HPN believes God is the only one who can touch the lives and hearts of the decision makers and creative community in Hollywood, and He will only do that if His followers humble themselves and pray.
