GREETINGS HPN MEMBERS,It's a beautiful March day in Hollywood and Easter is in the air. The networks have their stages full of TV shows, taping episodes like mad trying to make up for the 3 month WGA strike. The feeling of hope in the air, so let's pray for all that's to come in our industry this month.
SUMMARY:
- Listen to a radio interview from the successful Twin Cities Pastors Breakfast
- HPN’s FIRST FRIDAYS 24/1 is launched! Pray with us the 1st Friday of each month
- Warner Bros. didn’t lay off the 1,000 employees that they threatened to let go
- Continue to pray for Carl Vogel's son Luke who is paralyzed
- Please pray for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on Saturday, March 29
- Pray that SAG won’t go on strike on June 30th
- The networks are already starting to choose this year’s TV pilot season
- Drew Barrymore is donating $1 million to help fight hunger
- Pray for the Actor’s Co-Op and their change of leadership
- Steven Spielberg is said to be launching an online social network on aliens
- Pray for independent filmmakers and the people involved in ShoWest
- Pray for the powerful impact that TV has on our culture
- Pray for Patrick Swayze who has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer
- The Atlanta Chapter had their first meeting last month and it was GREAT
- “The Berlin Local Chapter hosted a series of "Berlinale Prayer Breakfasts"
- The Bollywood Local Chapter asks for continued prayer for their summer outreach
- The new book, “Branding Faith,” just hit the shelves on March 1st
- The Act One is coming to Phoenix for a week-end seminar
- The National Day of Prayer will take place again in Hollywood on May 1st

We pray for your 2008 to be full of rejoicing, prayer, and thanksgiving, for that is God’s will for us concerning our lives. Let’s start the year with fervent prayer for the people, issues and projects in Hollywood…

• Continue to pray for Karl Vogel’s (VP of Echostar) son, Luke, as he slowly recovers
• The 80th annual Academy Awards is scheduled for Sunday, February 24th
• Dennis Quaid credits prayer for the recovery of his newborn twins
• Pray for Director Scott Derrickson and his new film “The Day the Earth Stood Still”
• Pray for Hulk Hogan and his faith, who is hosting “American Gladiators”
• Nickelodeon might do a “Zoey 101” Special, with pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears
