There’s a buzz in the air: “HOLLYWOOD IS EXPANDING ITS BORDERS”. The movie industry is seeking the southeast for film locations. South Carolina, the Palmetto State is one of the front runners. The future of television and film production in Charleston and South Carolina is bright.  Charleston and its surrounding communities better known THROUGHTOUT as “The Low-Country” has an estimated 200 or more filmmakers and technicians and combined with South Carolina’s natural beauty and sunny climate, provides an excellent  potential to become a significant filmmaking center.

Now is the time for The Hollywood Prayer Network to arise in The Low Country.

We have several major projects going on right now.  Many of the people in the media industry are Christians and we believe that they can be a living testimony of God’s presence in this much needed arena. Our chapter will join hands with churches, pastors, gospel artist, and people who work in the media, film, and entertainment industry.

Pray that South Carolina will continue to be blessed with major projects, revenues that positively impact the local economy, blessings for uprising and  existing businesses, generate jobs and opportunities for local actors, screenwriters, directors and film technicians, and visibility that lure major studios to our region.

Pray for others in the Low Country to participate in HPN programs, planned events and local meetings. Pray that the entire communality catch on to the vision and help share the burden that God has given to HPN’s founder Karen Covell for a massive soul winning in Hollywood, the media and entertainment industry.

Nevertheless, we cannot deny the value that the arts and entertainment industry could have as a catalyst for a spiritual awakening and a cultural reformation in our community.
